Funding and Awards

There are three main areas of funding from HGCA

1. Research and Development contracts are awarded for:
   a) Research projects which meet the objectives outlined in the R&D Strategy Document
   b) Knowledge Transfer events or publications linked to the research programme
   
2. Enterprise Awards - awards to industry to help develop new markets or innovative grain based products, for:
   a) Food or drink
   b) Alternative uses of cereals, oilseeds or their by-products
   
3. Student bursaries and post-graduate studentships
