|New HGCA Nuffield Scholarship Award|
20 June 2012
HGCA is sponsoring a new Nuffield award to help champion those wanting to learn more about agriculture and make a difference in the arable industry.
The award will mean a bursary to help someone travel and study topics of interest - and the scheme is open to anyone who has been working in agriculture for at least two years and is aged between 22 and 45. No qualifications are needed.
HGCA Director, Rebecca Geraghty said: “A Nuffield offers the opportunity for strategic thinking. It’s a real positive for the arable industry and we are keen to encourage more applications from our sector.
“Scholarships are highly regarded and help shape the future of the agricultural industry, and by sponsoring an award, HGCA is complementing the strong level of skills support that is already offered to PhD students. The Nuffield award broadens that offer to candidates involved in the arable sector aged between 22 and 45.”
Deadline for applications is 31 July - for more information visit www.nuffieldscholar.org
